Fits 1995-UP Sportster ~ Nightster ~ Iron ~ 48 ~ 72 ~ SuperLow ~ Low ~ Custom
The DELUXE Option is ESPECIALLY useful for some pre-2004 Sportsters because the Factory rear tank design does not allow the front to be lifted more than 1.5" without this Option.
Generally 2004+ Sportsters do NOT benefit from this Option unless it is imperative to move the tank back for clearance issues.
Full details on the Deluxe Option HERE.
IMPORTANT FITMENT NOTES:
If your tank has rubber grommets in the front tank ears (this is probable on 1995-2003 models), please make sure to let us know by checking the box Above so we can send the special tank lift brackets for your bike. Also, Please Note, the 1" is NOT available for the Rubber Grommet Style Sportsters.
What we label a 1" Tank Lift is actually 1 1/8", the reason for this is to accommodate machining and hardware fitment.
Please make sure this mod does not interfere with any components on your bike - like handlebars, turn signals, custom trees, etc. You don't want to end up with a dented tank! Check for clearance before ordering. Checking for clearance not only allows you to ensure fitment, it also allows you to see which size will look best with your bike.
We are NOT responsible for any damage done to your bike because of the kit.
It is easy to check for clearance:
1. With bike on kickstand, take the bolt out of the front of your tank.
2. Loosen (do not remove) the bolt at the rear of your tank.
3. Turn your handlebars all the way to the left and raise the tank up your desired lift height to check for clearance issues.
4. Turn your handlebars all the way to the right and raise the tank up your desired lift height to check for clearance issues.
Be careful when lifting your tank, you do not want to hit it against something (forks, handlebars, trees, blinkers, etc.) when checking for clearance.

1.5 Tank Lift 0 people found this helpfulThis is high quality and really works well. It really looks good and is just the right height that I needed for the look I wanted. It's a great product and I highly recommend it. Top quality like all of Dk Custom products!

Awesome kit keeps engine cooler 0 people found this helpfulEverything fits perfect 1 inch lift kit for 2005 XL1200 Sportster but you need the deluxe kit. That’s the only size that will fit with stock handlebars without hitting anything. The deluxe kit moves the tank back so it won’t hit your speedometer. Looks great more air flow and I was able to tuck the wires pretty good. For just 1 inch it looks a heck of a lot better. Good value made in USA precision the other options out there suck.

Top notch 0 people found this helpfulSimple install looks great
-
Tank lift 0 people found this helpfulQuality part, easy install - the 1.5!in was tall enough to effectively complete a wire tuck. The one negative is that shipping with DK seems to be a little more expensive than the competition. All in all, I’m a happy customer.
-
A must if you have a peanut tank. 2 people found this helpfulAbsolutely amazed of the quality of the deluxe tank lift. I went for the 3 inch. Absolutely love the stance it gave my sporty.
-
Tank lift 0 people found this helpful3in tank lift came out nice. Product shipped quickly and we'll made.
-
1.5 inch lift. 2 people found this helpfulI didn't want to use the common , cheaper cookie cutter plates to lift my tank so I opted for this kit which looks much better. I also did a wire tuck and bought the DK Customs coil/ignition relocate kit since everything was going to be unbolted anyway.
-
Great quality 1 people found this helpfulI purchased the 1" lift for my 2011 forty-eight and it looks really good. Only thing I can say as a semi concern is that I probably should have gone with the 1.5" lift as I had to really play around with the harness plugs to get them all tucked under. Still giving it 5 stars because the product itself is amazing just a little more work on my end to get things fitting.
-
Perfect 1 people found this helpfulI ordered the 1.5 inch tank lift and it fit perfectly. Recommend it!
-
Perfect fit/look 2 people found this helpfulInstalled on 2015 iron 883. Remove the plastic wire harness cover beneath the tank and add the tank lift, and you’ll get an entirely different look-a great look! Went with the 2” kit. Love the end result. Aloha, Sixx

Very simple 0 people found this helpfulIt only took 20 minutes to put in. Very straight foward
-
Looks great! 0 people found this helpfulPut a 1.5in billet tank lift on my Sportster and made it look classy and tough at the same time. Service is tops with DK Customs.
-

-
Shipping and packaging 0 people found this helpfulHaven’t installed on my bike yet, but the shipping process, condition of packaging and quality of product has all been excellent. I’m sure it is an indication of the product they stand by. Thanks! Will be ordering more products in the future!

1.5” Tank Lift 0 people found this helpfulBest customer service and great quality parts. Ran into a problem with the bolt being fine thread instead of coarse and they resolved the problem extremely quick. These guys are my go to place for all my Harley parts
-
Tank lift 0 people found this helpfulHands down best site/customer service for my sportster parts…getting them all!
-
'04 XL1200C 1 people found this helpfulNice quality product, fairly easy to install, did a wire tuck when I was doing this. Be Aware! Unless you have a speedo relocation, and you have the fat 4.5 gal tank, do yourself a favor and add the deluxe option. I have stock speedo, riser, and bars, and I'm waiting for the deluxe option to come in; because of tank interference with my speedo. Wish I just bought them at the same time and saved myself a week.
-
Awesome 0 people found this helpfulWell I made the mistake of ordering a tank lift off Amazon and it sucked and was bad quality (China). I learned from that mistake and ordered one off of here from DK. Super great quality and durable. Shipping was super quick just like it’s always from these guys.
-
Decent Product 0 people found this helpfulDefinitely a well made product and very easy to install. Unfortunately the stud was a little long and was rubbing against the frame, DK suggested to use washers but I opted to replace the stud with a shorter one which made it look cleaner. For the price I paid I would've like to have additional studs in different sizes. Overall great part though, makes my sporty look better.
-
Tank lift 0 people found this helpfulMakes the Sporty look tall and mean. Especially with the wire tuck. Absolute necessity!
-
Easy install 0 people found this helpfulAfter looking at several tank lift kits I ordered the one from DK. The quality was outstanding being far better than all the others. Install was simple taking only 20 minutes. Great product!
-
High quality 0 people found this helpfulI looked at several tank lift kits and decided on the DK tank lift. The quality was way better than other kits I looked at. Install was very simple taking only ten minutes. Looks great on my 2019 48.
-
1.5 Lift 0 people found this helpfulVery well made, easy to install, looks good and provides the desired effect!
-
1.5 Sportster Tank Lift 0 people found this helpfulI looked at and returned other tank lifts due to quality and look. The DK lift was the best and the deluxe option made it a breeze. Would highly recommend DK tank lifts.Only issue I had was the studs on the front lift hit my frame, but I simply removed the stud with an allen wrench, cut a 1/4 off the inside and it screwed back in with no problems. Shouldn't be an issue on lifts taller than 1.5" though.
-
1.5” Sportster tank lift 0 people found this helpfulI’m very particular about what I put on my Iron, and much like the chin spoiler I bought from DK, the tank lift is quality! It blends seamlessly into the bike as if it were factory. It totally changes the attitude of the bike, adding to the aggressive look I was going for. Easy install and a quality product. This isn’t my first purchase from DK and it won’t be my last.
-
only the best from DK 0 people found this helpfulhonest staff, quality parts! nothing but the best from these guys! shipping was jimmy johns fast!
-
Great Product 0 people found this helpfulHigh quality material and a great finish! I had to shorten the bolts for the tank ears so they wouldn’t rub the frame backbone, but that was easy to do with a dremel. I went with a 2 inch lift and i think it’s perfect. Raises the tank enough to get a more aggressive look, but not too high to cause clearance problems. This is my third or fourth item from DK Customs and I appreciate how engaged and personal they are...Fortune 500 parts with a mom-n-pop touch!
-
Great product. 0 people found this helpfulGreat product and perfect fitment, even with only the 1 inch lift. Little overpriced for what it is, thats all.
-
Quality 0 people found this helpfulLove the way it looks on sporty custom well worth the price.
-
1.5" lift kit, Iron 1200 0 people found this helpfulcouldn't be happier the quality of the lift kit is top of the line looks great, not a flat piece of drilled out metal, installation was very simple next on my list coil/ ignition relocation, and wire tuck Dk product are top of the line, will continue to buy from them.
-
Tank lift 1 people found this helpfulI ordered a 1.5 tank lift kit and couldn’t be happier. The tank lift kit was pretty simple to install assuming you have some mechanical skills, it is very sturdy material. This lift kit looks great with a wire tuck. Next on my list to do is a coil an ignition relocation kit which I will absolutely be ordering from DK customs. Highly recommend!
-
great quality 0 people found this helpfulThis new design is a better build and looks a lot more sturdy than before. The brackets flow right into my iron 883 and sets it apart from the other “cookie cutter” bikes. Thanks a lot!
-
Great improvement and look! 0 people found this helpfulI was skeptical about the tank lift, the wire tuck mod, and ignition/coil relocation kit installation, but everything went so smoothly. This DK CUSTOMS tank lift upgrade is even nicer and more robust than the previous version. I appreciate that the bolts are removable. They are very long and touching the frame, so I did replace them for shorter chrome bolts. Overall, the significant improvement of my 2017 Iron 883.
-
Greatly improves look 0 people found this helpfulI’ve always liked the way the raised tank looked but seeing it on my own Bike is so much better. The gap about the engine that shows after a wire tuck is mean looking. Also goes well with my drag bars.
-
Great product and great customer service 1 people found this helpfulThere are a lot of tank lifts out there and all I can say is DK CUSTOMS is all you need great fit for my 2019 48. Thanks guys

Hated it. Love it now. 0 people found this helpfulI honestly hated the look and idea of lifting my tank since it looked strange in pictures and I read about losing some fuel capacity. Why on earth would anyone do this? I thought people were straight up nuts. But then as I sat outside a Krispy Kreme here in sunny Southern California… I saw something. Not a new HD Softail, not a hot chick and no not even a beautiful sunset. I saw another fellow Iron 883 rider park up next to me with a lifted tank and wires tucked. I was spellbound. It looked KILLER! Seriously! It looked as killer as the juice-man talking about gloves not fitting so they must be acquitting! I had to do it! So I did. Did I lose a little fuel capacity? Sure. Not a big deal since I ride about 75 miles round trip daily for work and fill up at the end of the day, every day anyway. Mad style points! Buy this yesterday! Lift those tanks!

I didn’t know I’d be into this...but I am! YOLO? 0 people found this helpfulI honestly hated the look and idea of lifting my tank since it looked strange in pictures and I read about losing some fuel capacity. A little expensive, but good quality. 0 people found this helpfulMy only gripe about this is I feel it's a little expensive for what you're really getting. That being said, I didn't have to do anything in creating this and didn't need 100 trips back and forth between auto and hardware stores. All in one kits can be overpriced, but that's okay. This took a little bit of time to install having to remove the tank entirely, but nothing too bad. The real bulk of the time comes when you have to cut/rip that ugly black plastic that H-D installs to hide all the wires on the Sportsters. After that you need to figure out ways to relocate, tuck, and hide all the wires. I went to an auto parts store and bought some black plastic flex tubing, zip ties, and electrical tape. I tucked whatever I could in the tubing, wrapped everything in electrical tape, and then zip tied everything to the frame. A lot of it is trial and error and making sure everything looks like you want it. Other than that, this product is SUPER simple to install once all the logistics of wire-hiding is done. Gives the bike a nice clean customized look and I have to imagine allows more cool air to pass over the engine. Win win!
